Australasian Plant Pathology Society

Plant pathology, also known as phytopathology, is the scientific study of plant diseases caused by both pathogens and environmental factors. It is a broad discipline that spans several major areas of microbiology, including mycology, virology, nematology and bacteriology.

The Australasian Plant Pathology Society is a scientific association dedicated to the advancement and dissemination of knowledge of plant pathology and its practice. Conferences, symposia and several publications help the Society achieve these objectives.

The Society also supports education in science through the Advancing Plant Pathology Fund and Trevor Wicks Travel Grants as well as the Stirling Nematology Awards and other bursary schemes.  more >>>
